Born an raised in rural southwest Missouri, Jeff now makes his home in Kansas City, MO. Jeff is a gifted vocalist in his own right with a multiple octave range, and the distinction of having studied voice with members of New York's Metropolitan Opera, and was a private student of renowned voice coach Dean Wilder. Jeff was also voted a finalist for ten weeks in a row on Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star" internet talent competition. He has been prolific in the recording and performance of nearly every genre of music, including pop, rock, jazz, country, blues, and gospel.
After graduating high school, Jeff completed four years of college with a vocal performance major, and a minor in broadcast journalism. After five years in the radio industry as an on-air personality, Jeff became a member of "The Lads Quartet", and had the privilege to sing extensively throughout the United States and Canada, sharing the stage with J.D. Sumner and The Stamps, The Imperials, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Blackwood Brothers, B.J. Thomas and many more. Terry Blackwood who toured with Elvis as a member of The Imperials during the "That's The Way It Is" era has arranged and produced some of Jeff's studio recording sessions.
During this period, Jeff was approached by a national organization for troubled teens and was offered a full-time position as their exclusive music soloist for their North American city-wide events. This allowed Jeff to take his music to every major city in the U.S. and Canada. These events were held in some of the largest venues the cities had to offer. Average audiences were in the tens of thousands.
After hearing Jeff's musical tributes to Elvis Presley, many music industry professionals encouraged him to focus on this endeavor. Jeff insists on vocal authenticity, and performs the songs in the same key and arrangement as was originally done. Every era of Elvis' career is represented with Jeff's unique and powerful voice. To accurately represent the dynamic vocal range and versatility that Elvis had is the most challenging task given to an Elvis Tribute Artist. Many in the industry believe that Jeff renders one of the most compelling representations of the Elvis music catalog to date. He has multiple CDs to his credit, having recorded over 200 Elvis Songs.
